FAQ - How do I convert images to greyscale?

Do you know the difference between black and white, monochrome and greyscale? These terms can all be used to refer to photos that only contain the colours black, white and grey. However there are differences between them. Click here to find out more.

For optimizing your photo for the internet, i.e. for uploading onto a website, you can always change the colour mode to greyscale. This will produce a much smaller file size. To find out how to convert your images to Greyscale colour mode, you can read this Help topic.
