Applies to: WebPlus X4 and above

Yahoo have made it compulsory to upload using FTPS instead of FTP. This provides added security when you upload your site to the Yahoo servers. For more information, click here.

To enable FTPS in WebPlus, simply follow the steps below:
  1. From the File menu, select Publish Site > Publish to Web.
  2. In the dialog, click Accounts and then select your FTP Account from the list. (If you've got more than one FTP account, choose the one that is associated with your Yahoo Web Hosting account.)
  3. Click Edit.
  4. In the Advanced section of the Account Details dialog, check the Encrypt connection box.
  5. Click OK and then in the Upload to server dialog, click Update Account.

You should now be able to upload your site successfully and securely.

Note: Versions older than WebPlus X4 do not support FTPS. If you are using an older version of WebPlus, you will need to use another tool that supports FTPS, such as FileZilla, to be able to upload your website to Yahoo.
