: PhotoPlus X4 and above
: I'm working on my image which has filter layers applied, and now I want to access the Cutout Studio but the button on the context toolbar is greyed out.
: Firstly, we would advise that you use the Cutout Studio before applying filter layers. This allows you to work on the image layer before it is converted to a filter layer.
: The Cutout Studio will only recognise raster/bitmap images, so you can convert the filter layer to a standard layer. This process is called rasterization. To do this, simply follow the steps below:
- Right-click the layer in the Layers tab.
- Choose Rasterize.
The Cutout Studio option (on the context toolbar) will now be available to click on.
Warning: This process destroys your filter layer, making a standard layer. You will no longer be able to manipulate your adjustments and effects as a result.
Alternatively, another method you could use to avoid the Cutout Studio is masking. This will show/hide certain parts of your image, making them temporarily invisible, which may be a better solution for you.
