Affinity V2 has both MSIX and MSIX/EXE installers available for Windows. These are available for 64bit Intel/AMD CPUs and ARM64 devices.
What is MSIX?
MSIX is a unified packaging format developed by Microsoft. It allows applications to install, update and uninstall cleanly while providing enhanced security by running applications in a container, isolating the application from the system and other applications. This reduces conflicts and improves system stability.
What is MSI/EXE?
MSI (Microsoft Installer) and EXE (Executable) are two common types of installer packages used on Windows for software installation.
An Affinity V2 MSI/EXE download is a custom .NET based EXE installer that can be used to Install and Uninstall Affinity V2 apps.
It's also possible to create an MSI version of the installer from the EXE. This is typically used when deploying Affinity V2 across enterprise environments allowing for simpler installations across many workstations.
Both the MSIX and MSI/EXE installers can be downloaded from this page.
