If the Object Selection Tool hasn't been add to your Toolbar automatically after updating Affinity Photo to 2.6, it can be manually added following the information contain in our Customising the Toolbar help article.
Please Note: The Machine Learning features are not available on Intel-based Macs or iPads with an A Series chip. You will find that the Machine Learning Models tab is missing from within Affinity Photo's Settings window. More information can be found here.
If you're on a Apple M Series chip device running macOS Ventura or later and it's still not working, please check to see if Affinity Photo 2 is being launched using Rosetta. You can do this by going to your Applications folder, right click Affinity Photo 2 and select Get Info. Ensure Open With Rosetta is Unchecked. If this is checked, it will prevent the use of the ML models within Affinity Photo V2.
