If you find that Affinity is crashing, specifically on Windows, when you're opening, importing or creating a New Document it could indicate that your Graphics Card drivers are out of date.
Please visit your Graphics Card's website to download and install the latest driver available for your system:
Please Note: You may need to go direct to your PC manufacture's website to download the latest Graphics Card driver for your system.
If your device has multiple GPUs, such as Integrated Intel Graphics and a dedicated external GPU card, please ensure the Graphics Card drivers for both devices are fully updated.
Once downloaded and installed, please restart your computer and then launch the Affinity app again. If the app continues to crash on launch, please try disabling Hardware Acceleration, as instructed on this page.
